UP AT THE MONTAGE

Occupying an entire wing of the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills, this expansive, light-filled penthouse, featuring a sprawling landscaped terrace, exudes a captivating blend of Gothic Revival and "Bladerunner" aesthetics. Drawing inspiration from the European Aesthetic Movement with modernist influences, the apartment showcases a recurrent Frank Lloyd Wright motif, complemented by Bugatti tables, Richard Riemerschmid and E.W. Godwin furniture, and Agathon Leonard statuary. Every detail revolves around an open hallway that doubles as an art gallery, showcasing the captivating works of Raymond Pettibon, Massimo Vitali, and the renowned L.A. graffiti artist RETNA. The residence effortlessly combines stylish elegance with a welcoming, homely ambiance, all while offering the added convenience of being mere steps away from one of the premier commercial hubs in Los Angeles.

COACH HOUSE

Whether unwinding in the cozy upstairs bedrooms, peering through delightful portholes, or hosting gatherings in the spacious downstairs rooms, these accommodations promise guests an unforgettable experience.

BÜCHERHALLE

Bücherhalle is a bibliophile's ultimate dream home. Blending the design of a Borgesian library with the functional openness of Bauhaus, this desert-dwelling blurs the line between living space and archive. It is the German word for “library” writ large, embodying the idea that one can judge a book by its cover.
The house features a pair of crescent horns, reminiscent of Le Corbusier's proposed palace in Chandigarh, India. These arching walls shape the library hall as a centralized living area and an architectural focal point. The bookshelves ascend against the walls in a parabolic contrast to the surrounding mountains, reaching toward the skylights above. The structure is elevated on stilts, creating the illusion of floating above the rugged terrain. Two wings branching off the main hall offer raised outdoor spaces, with a kitchen to the east and an en suite bedroom to the west, each accompanied by a walled garden at the front entry.

CASA LISBON

Situated in Yucca Valley, on the outskirts of Joshua Tree National Park, this two-story accessory dwelling unit (ADU) embodies a sleek adobe-modernist-style hacienda adorned with terra-cotta plaster. Its modular, Constructivist-inspired architecture is an organic exploration of oil-pipe steel and frosted corrugated glass. The deliberate use of offset overhangs and cantilevered volumes plays with perspective, distorting and redefining its proportions to harmonize with the surrounding Jurassic topography.
